Prince Fielder broke a 3-3 tie in the bottom of the 8th inning with his 4th home run of the year on Saturday night, resulting in another come from behind win for the Brewers.
After the Marlins jumped out ot an early 1-0 lead in the first on a lead off Hanley Ramirez home run, the Crew tied it in the bottom of the second on a bases loaded sacrifice bunt by starting pitcher Carlos Villanueva that plated Fielder. The Crew took a 3-1 lead in the third after Fielder singled in Gabe Kapler, after Kapler led off the inning with a double.
Villanueva gave up his second run of the night in the fifth after Marlins’ pitcher Mark Hendrickson tripled, and later scored on a Dan Uggla sacrifice fly.
Uggla would then score the tying run in the top of the 8th after singling off Brewers’ reliever Salomon Torres, advancing to third on a Jeremy Hermida base hit, and finally scoring after Josh Willingham hit into a fielder’s choice.
After Fielder’s home run, closer Eric Gagne struck out the side for his 7th Save of the year.
The series is tied 1-1 with Manny Parra getting the start Sunday afternoon.
