Final 2011/2012 Bowl Projections (Updated 12/4)

My bowl projections have been changing weekly so if you want to take a look at what I was projecting last week you can click here. Oklahoma State made a hell of a run at the BCS National Championship Game by rolling past Oklahoma but I still see a LSU/Bama re-match. These predictions are based on where I think teams will finish in the final BCS rankings and the selections that I predict the bowl committees to make. A lot of the seedings also depend on which “at large” teams are chosen by the BCS Bowls. I think both TCU and Michigan will get the BCS votes needed to get into the mix for the BCS bowls. Also, some of the conferences are not projecting to supply their full slate of teams so some replacements were taken that did not have fall back plans in terms of tie-ins (I am projecting the Kraft Fight Hunger and New Mexico bowls to have to select at-large teams to fill their slots). The only Bowl eligible teams I have left on the outside looking in based on my projections are Ball State and Western Kentucky. Miami (Fl) announced two weeks ago that it would be imposing a self-ban on the post-season for this year and USC is not eligible due to probation. UCLA will finish the season 6-7 because of the Pac-12 Championship Game and has had a waiver granted to be included in a bowl game.
