ORACLE ARENA, OAKLAND, CA — This is a continuation of the halftime recap of the Phoenix Suns at the Golden State Warriors.

The Warriors took a 59-46 lead into halftime.

3rd Quarter – Thompson Rains On #Roaracle

The Warriors pushed the lead further to 73-51 with 8:22 remaining after Draymond Green yelled at Brandon Rush to initiate a play, Andrew Bogut cut to the free throw line, Green fed him, and Bogut relayed the pass between his legs behind him to a cutting Stephen Curry for a skillful floater.

Later, Klay Thompson swished a three from the right corner after Bogut lost the ball, Green tipped it, and the ball wound up in an alert Rush’s hands. Rush slinged the ball over to the open Thompson for the three.

The Warriors went on another flurry after Curry caught a laser lead pass from Green for a reverse layup…

…which was actually sandwiched between ten points from Thompson, six of the points from distance, such as this one after a made Suns basket, and assisted by Green:

Steph stared at his hand after that one for a long time, as Suns head coach Jeff Hornacek took a timeout and the Warriors took a commanding 84-57 lead with 6:03 to go in the third.

Not long after that, Klay added yet another three from the top…

…which gave him 33 points, then he added another jumper and three free throws after getting fouled beyond the arc by Devin Booker.

Andrew Bogut played “tic-tac-toe”, 94-feet version, with Curry off a rebound, and found Green for a smash…

…then Thompson added another jumper for 40 points on the night, 24 in the third quarter as the Warriors went ahead by 35, 96-61, with still 3:22 to go.

Klay added another heat check as Green ran out of room to dribble, found Thompson way at the top, and Klay spun around in the perimeter and launched another triple! That gave him 43 points on 8-for-12 from downtown:

Curry gave the Warriors 103 points by the end of the third with a pull-up jumper off a steal from Green, then on the last possession, Festus Ezeli slammed it home as Draymond drove the lane through Phoenix’s porous defense.

Golden State took an astounding 105-65 lead into the final frame. Thompson scored 27 of his 43 points in the 3rd quarter and Green was up to another triple-double with 16 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists. Curry tallied 27 points, 5 assists.

4th Quarter – Mop-Up Duty

The bench unit started out the fourth quarter with Shaun Livingston, Leandro Barbosa, Rush, Andre Iguodala and Marreese Speights.

After not playing in the first half, Speights went 3-for-5 from the field for 11 solid points in garbage time.

With under four minutes to play, James Michael McAdoo and Jason Thompson closed out the game. Ian Clark subbed in for Barbosa.

The Warriors (25-1) won by the score of 128-103 and will face the Milwaukee Bucks again in two nights at Oracle.
