ORACLE ARENA, OAKLAND, CA — This is a continuation of the halftime recap of the OKC Thunder at the Golden State Warriors.

The Warriors held a 68-43 lead at halftime.

3rd Quarter – Cruising Along With Curry

Early in the third quarter, Kevin Durant got another slam dunk after Klay Thompson made a bad pass that Russell Westbrook stole, only to get it stolen back as Westbrook threw the ball away. Thompson was ready to shoot the three, but instead saw Durant at the last moment under the hoop and delivered a jump pass.

Later, Draymond Green made two free throws after drawing a foul on a drive, Klay made a catch-and-shoot three assisted by Zaza Pachulia.

At the 6:00 mark, Stephen Curry finally made a three to extend his streak of hitting a three-pointer to 157 straight games…

…and then found Pachulia for a reverse layup:

After a missed three by Thompson and a push shot by Steven Adams that went too hard, Draymond Green grabbed the board, brought the ball up, directed traffic, and found Curry in the right corner for a catch-and-splash triple over two Thunder players:

That got going, and Steph displayed his wizardry with a layup to give the Warriors a 93-65 lead with 2:58 remaining.

Fast-forwarding to the last possession, Durant held the ball up top against Jerami Grant, Joffrey Lauvergne came to help, but KD split the double-team and took a humongous step in for the slam just before the break:

Durant finished the third with 36 points as Golden State took a 98-70 lead.

4th Quarter

With the game well in hand, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr gave Kevon Looney some burn, and kept Thompson and Durant in the game.

Durant recorded his first official blocked shot of the night, which couldn’t possibly be correct but “oh well”, victimizing Semaj Christon, while Klay hit a jumper and a runner.

Shaun Livingston also scored a bucket, JaVale McGee got a dunk fed by Thompson, and Ian Clark stroked a corner three which gave the Warriors a 118-91 lead.

McGee closed out the game with a goaltending call on a Domantas Sabonis attempt, but got a jumper to drop and blocked a shot in succession with Looney.

The final score was 122-96, Golden State. Durant led all scorers with 39 points on 15-for-24 shooting, 7-for-11 from distance, and 7 rebounds. Curry added 21 points and 7 assists, while Klay tallied 18 points on 4-for-8 on threes and Green collected 9 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists.

Pachulia had an impressive line of 8 points on a perfect 4-for-4 field, to go along with 10 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 blocks. Clark led the bench scoring with 8 points and 3 rebounds. Andre Iguodala had a team-high +34 on the plus-minus.

Victor Oladipo had 21 points, as Westbrook led the Thunder with 20 points, 6 rebounds, 10 assists, but shot just 4-for-15 and committed 6 turnovers.

The Warriors (4-1) head to LA immediately to face the Lakers in less than 24 hours.
