Again, it comes back to Manning, who is going through the worst slump of his amazing career. It has been interesting how the only ones willing to criticize Manning have been the media (a little), Manning himself (excessively) and radio voice Bob Lamey (sort of, although he has apologized for an off-air rant where he called for Manning to be benched and said it was time to find a replacement). Team president Bill Polian doesn’t seem to have a problem burying the offensive line or the defense, but when it comes to Manning, it’s hands-off.
Prediction: The quarterback will bounce back with one of his best games of the season. The defense will step up and limit a punchless offense to very few points. They won’t beat themselves, which has been the case in most of their losses.
