First Impressions of March Madness on Demand

Checking out CBS’ March Madness on Demand, the video quality can be changed from Fair to Good to Better to Best. If you can watch the video in “Best” you truly get the “best” experience to watch the games. Microsoft Silverlight technology which was used for NBC’s video streaming of the Olympics as well as Major League Baseball’s MLB.TV has improved to the point where the picture is very clear and in HD.

You can switch in between games rather easily either through the “Live Games” tab or the “What’s Hot” tab. However, my only criticism is when a game is in break, you have to endure 3 minutes of commercials, you can’t change games. CBS has made it so that you have to watch the commercials before you can switch.

Checking on the announcers, Carter Blackburn still looks like he’s 15 sitting next to Jay Bilas.

More later.
