Five-star 2015 point guard Jalen Brunson lists Villanova,Temple as finalists

If you haven’t figured out by now, the college basketball season never ends. Matter of fact, college sports never end as they process of building programs continue into the off-season with recruiting.

For two teams in the city of Philadelphia, Temple and Villanova they covet a five-star game changing point guard. The point guard that they want is 6-foot-2 point guard Jalen Brunson from Stevenson High School out of Illinois. Brunson, also has NBA roots as his father Rick played in the association.

Brunson is considered to be a top point guard in the 2015 class and both teams in the city could use a talent like him. This past season as a junior, Brunson put up tremendous numbers. His stat line was 26.1 points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.7 assists, and 2.9 steals per game. As I said earlier, he is a game changing point guard.

Among Villanova and Temple, Brunson tweeted out his final list of schools which included the National champs, the UConn Huskies and the University of Illinois.

Finally as a junior, Brunson earned AP Class 4A All-State honors. For Temple and Villanova to add a guard of his caliber would be perfect as Jay Wright could add another dynamic guard to his system, while Fran Dunphy could possibly pair him with Josh Brown in the backcourt.
