Dolphin’s fan and Florida Senator Marco Rubio has a plan to get Tom Brady out of the league and it is not by injury or retirement but instead by making in the US ambassador to Brazil
Rubio joked with New York Jets Owner Woody Johnson who is also the ambassador of the United Kindom saying during his nomination vote that “because of my lifelong being a fan of the Miami Dolphins, support for your nomination due to your relationship with the New York Jets is painfully difficult. But I’m willing to do it for the good of the country”
Rubio would not stop there also saying “I will, however, say that I think you and I agree that the country would be well served if a certain Thomas Brady of Massachusetts were nominated ambassador of Brazil. Perhaps that could be arranged before September of this year.”
The statement drew laughs from the Senat floor during Thursday’s hearing. to which Rubio responds to it by saying “I don’t know why people are laughing,” Rubio concluded. “I’m very serious about this” with a big smile on his face.
