Following Saturday’s 34-17 victory over N.C. State, Florida State moved up to 16th in both human polls. That’s a 3-spot jump in the AP Poll and a 2-spot climb in the Amway Coaches Poll.
The Seminoles remain one of three ranked ACC teams. FSU was joined by top-ranked Clemson and North Carolina, who was 12th in both polls.
The top 5 was the same in both polls. Defending national champion Ohio State was behind the Tigers at No. 2. The Buckeyes were followed by Alabama, undefeated Oklahoma State and Notre Dame.
Florida State will host Chattanooga on Saturday before closing the regular season at Florida. The Gators were eighth in both human polls this week.
