Vikings Lose Sharrif Floyd and John Sullivan For The Season:
On the tail wave of excitement of winning our first division game in 3 years… this afternoon we find out that Sharrif Floyd is out indefinitely after having a chuck of cartilage removed from his foot. Mike Zimmer said it was a “wide timetable” for when Floyd might return.
And in even worse news, John Sullivan is out for the year after having a relapse in the weight room 10 days ago. Sullivan had surgery earlier in the year and was set to return mid-way through the season. That won’t be happening and I question if he’ll return ever.
Tom Johnson is a nice fill-in starter for Floyd, and should be a starter himself. However, Joe Berger hasn’t fared as well backing up Sullivan this season.
