It was a good night in Winnipeg, as the Flyers rolled into town following their 5-2 whopping at the hands of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Why was it good, you say? Well, that’s quite simply because the Flyers played great all three periods, Ilya Bryzgalov in particular. The Russian goaltender stopped 24 of 26 shots, and gave up one goal that was off a spectacular pass from Blake Wheeler to Jets captain Andrew Ladd. Brayden Schenn and Tye McGinn scored the Flyers other two goals. Speaking of McGinn, he was my player of the game last night. McGinn has been simply outstanding since being called up from Adirondack earlier in the season. He got the game winning goal, fought Mark Stuart, and just had a really great overall game. All in all, a great team win, especially right after a bad loss to Toronto.
Next up: Flyers @ Devils, Friday, February 15, 7pm
