As I noted in the links today, the NFL schedule was released last night. If you recall from back in October, or perhaps you have scouted the “Following the Compass” page lately, you knew that the second game for 2012 was “TBD”. No more.
The second team that I had drawn in the annual FTC drawing was the Chicago Bears, the first professional team I have drawn in the history of Following the Compass. I drew the 5th game on their schedule, and waited until last night to see where I would be going when the season begins.
As it turns out, game number 5 on the Bears schedule will be a road game against the Jacksonville Jaguars at Everbank Stadium on October 7th. So at the beginning of October, I will be headed to Florida to watch an NFL game.
For the record, the average high on October 7th in Jacksonville is in the low 80s. Looks like I finally drew myself a warm weather destination. Looking forward to October!
