>Freshman Bryn Renner announced today that he’s leaving the baseball team to focus on football. Nationally ranked baseball prospect out of high school, Renner plays back-up to starter T.J. Yates. He was 15-21 with 184 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in the spring game. Butch Davis said it’s Yates’ job to win or lose. Renner was the sixth QB in his class and is said to be the future of the program. This should make for an even more interesting position battle during the summer.
