Season tickets for the 2014 Cincinnati Bearcats football season have gone on sale today. You can see that from this image:
The 6 home games this season are Toledo, Miami, Memphis, USF, East Carolina and Houston. UC could play in a destination site bowl game so that could be a nice perk of buying season tickets. Plus the priority that it gets you for next season.
Because let’s be honest, this is a pretty awful home slate. Only 2 of the 6 teams went to bowls last year, Houston and East Carolina. Toledo was 7-5. Miami was maybe the worst team in America. USF and Memphis were both bad, although maybe they won’t be this year.
There is a distinct lack of a hook game. The Louisville game was practically sold out by this time last year. Purdue ended up selling out. In a bigger stadium, I don’t think we get close to a sellout this year and I think there will be a lot of articles written about attendance.
But, you can get to all 6 home games for $16.50 a piece. That’s a pretty sweet deal. UC seems to have priced this right. Two of the games are national spotlight games on Friday night, Toledo and USF. It’s still Cincinnati football. It’s our team. Support the boys. After all, it’s the only time that this Bearcats team will play.
