With the impending cutdown dates just around the corner as preseason moves on, the 2010 season will have a very different feel when those lists arrive. Because there is no Cap this season due to an absence of a Players contract, NFL owners do not need to fear cutting a player with a large contract. Why? Because normally, when you cut a player like Michael Clayton, his huge contract turns into a big salary cap hit, which can be quite large if a bonus is applied or not. But with NO Salary Cap, teams do not have to fear sending The Turk out to a player with a big contract, and this should have Clayton and Bucs running back Derrick Ward squirming in their boots. Ward came off a sub-par performance at Miami, and irked HC Raheem Morris by providing excuses. His running in the Kansas City game will go a long way in determining if Ward can provide something for the Bucs this season, or provide an opportunity for 3rd string RB Kareem Huggins, who had this nice dash in the game at the same time Ward was spinning tires in the Mud.
