For The Timberwolves, This Season Is A Lost Season

NBA: Minnesota Timberwolves at New Orleans Pelicans

It’s almost a certainty—I guarantee you: a 100% fact towards the end of the season—that Jeff Teague will exercise his player option.

(No one’s going to deny themselves a pretty penny…)

Gorgui Dieng, meanwhile, unable to generate trade interest because of his albatross contract, will continue playing backup minutes.

AND Andrew Wiggins, I guarantee you—Andrew Wiggins, at some point next season…I’m making a bold, bold prediction that sounds crazy right now, but trust me: you’ll thank me later—will begin looking like a player who did not deserve his extension.

So what do these contracts mean for the Timberwolves next season? It’s a foregone conclusion, in fact: They’ll continue playing the same style of ball with the same, over-bloated contracts against the same teams in the Western Conference with players from around the league that are waiting to flock to them during the offseason.

Think Anthony Davis to the Lakers possibly..

Kawhi Leonard to the Clippers….

You know, teams that are not the Timberwolves… 🙁

And when you wrap your head around this detail, this is…just a…sad, sad fact.
