As I suspected, Matthews did not last very long on waivers before another team grabbed him. Aaron Wilson reports that division rival Jacksonville snagged Matthews up almost as fast he as became available.
The Jaguars have been searching for quality wide receivers for a long time. I would not be overly surprised if Matthews is highly competitive at Jaguars training camp for a roster spot in the coming season. If that happens, we will let you know.
