Former Philadelphia Eagles first round pick Danny Watkins, who was cut on Saturday afternoon is drawing interest from the Miami Dolphins and could possibly sign with them very soon. Watkins, who is an offensive lineman, had a tryout with Miami on Monday.
But there are two different sides to this story saying that Watkins is not signing with the Dolphins yet. Jason La Canfora tweeted tonight that Watkins will be signing with the Dolphins.
Former Eagles 1st rnd pick Danny Watkins will sign w/MIA. Guard visited Fins, was getting interest from other teams after clearing waivers

According to Watkins’ agent, Joe Panos that report is not true. Per Adam Beasley of Miami Herald, Panos said “Not true. I’m his agent. I think I would know.” But just to note when situations like this happen, it doesn’t mean that Watkins won’t sign with the Dolphins it just means not right now, Adam Beasley notes that as well.
This isn’t to say a deal with Watkins won’t get done. Just hadn’t as of 10 minutes ago.

In all cases, it seems like the Dolphins and Watkins have mutual interest and I wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up there by the end of Tuesday possibly.
