Former Phillie Chad Durbin Retires

Former Philadelphia Phillies relief pitcher Chad Durbin has officially retired from the game of baseball reports ESPN’s Jerry Crasnick. 

Durbin, was a major part of the 2008 Phillies World Series Championship team’s bullpen which was one of the best in baseball that season. In 2008, he posted a 2.87 ERA in 87.2 innings pitched, the best ERA of his career. He later rejoined the club last offseason before getting cut in May after posting an ERA of 9.00 in his 16 appearances.

Durbin’s final career stat line is 43-47 with a 5.03 ERA in 836.1 innings pitched.
