Baseball has a unique habit of creating the strangest of bedfellows. But this latest pairing is an odd couple not even Neil Simon could explain.

Former pornstar (and sometimes Sarah Palin lookalike) Lisa Ann and famed ballhawk Zack Hample will be hitting Citi Field Tuesday to watch the New York Mets take on the Toronto Blue Jays.
“She randomly tweeted at me many months ago and told me that she LOVES my book…that it has made her obsessed with baseball and that it changed her life,” Hample told The Hall. “We struck up a correspondence, and after all this time, it has progressed to the point that we’re going to a game together.”
And will Hample, who has snagged more than 8100 baseballs over the years going to teach his new best friend the skills of ballhawking?
“Of course I’m planning to help her snag a few baseballs, but given the fact that players prefer to toss them to beautiful women, I might need some help from her,” Hample added. “Seriously, though, I’m looking forward to hanging out with her…she seems like a really cool person.”
I’d love to make some jokes about Lisa Ann’s ball handling skills or the like, but I’m a gentleman…and I’ve probably never seen any of her films. Or at least that’s what I’d like everyone to think.
