Former Penn State quarterbacks coach Charlie Fisher appears to be set to get a new head coaching job. According to Football scoop, Fisher is working on a deal to become the new head coach at Western Illinois. This would be Fisher’s first head coaching gig since a seven-year run as head coach at West Georgia from 1991 through 1998.

After serving two years on the staff under Bill O’Brien, Fisher ended up taking on a role as offensive coordinator at Richmond after O’Brien left for the NFL’s Houston Texans.
