Former San Antonio Spurs guard George Hill was officially introduced in Indiana today and he was excited to be back in his home state:
“I’m sure excited to be here,” Hill said. “I want to basically say thanks to David Morway and Larry Bird. This has always been a dream of mine to play for my hometown team.”
Hill also said he is hoping to bring what he learned in San Antonio to the Pacers:
“This is something we always talked about for a long time since I got drafted but it wasn’t the right time. I learned a lot where I was, but at the same time I didn’t know how long it was going to take to get back–or if it was even possible.”
Indeed Hill will bring that Spurs’ winning-attitude, and playoff experience to the young Indiana squad. Best of luck to Hill and I’m sure all Spurs fans will be marking their calendars when San Antonio faces Indiana in San Antonio next season.
So my fellow Spurs fans, are we in agreement this picture of Hill holding a Pacers jersey just doesn’t look right?
