Former San Antonio Spurs forward Robert Horry is quite decorated laying claim to seven NBA titles during his time in the NBA. Horry won two titles with the Spurs, two with the Rockets, and three with the Lakers before retiring in 2008.
And though many remember him for his seven titles, clutch shots and all-around play, some forget he spent time with the Phoenix Suns – though it was short-lived.
Horry played for the Suns in the 1996-97 season but just for 32 games. Moreover, his short time with quite a tulmultuous time. The boiling point came when he tossed a towel in the face of then Suns coach Danny Ainge during a timeout.
Well it seems winning titles with the Spurs, Rockets and Lakers and having a not-so-great-time with the Sun might have made Horry forget about his time in Phoenix.
Horry, speaking at the McAllen Boys & Girls Club in Texas at what was dubbed "Robert Horry Day," Horry was asked what teams he played for while in the NBA and it seems he forgets about his Phoenix days.
“It’s good that kids ask these questions, some forget I played with Phoenix for a couple of months, even I do,” Horry said with a chuckle. “It helps to have reminders when kids ask.”
After being traded to Phoenix, as part of the Rockets deal to acquire Charles Barkley, Horry was then sent to the Lakers during the season and needless to say, it worked out just fine for "Big Shot Bob."
Of course, that towel incident wasn't the last time Horry nailed a member of the Suns. Who can forget this hit on Steve Nash?
