Former UMass Dartmouth Star Receiver On Watchlist?

predspantherswin

It is a rare sighting but one hopeful receiver is looking for the opportunity of a lifetime by standing outside Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts.  Former UMass Dartmouth WR Abiola Aborishade is taking an unique approach to reaching the NFL dream and he may get it if the Patriots actually go with the plan of bringing him into training camp but it is a long shot.

Standing on Route 1 directly across from Gillette and holding a poster with what qualities he brings to the team and his previous resume at UMass Dartmouth. Aborishade hauled in 84 receptions last season and ranked fourth nationally with approximately 9.3 receptions a game. These stats remind me of a Julian Edelman type of player with lots of targets and a high percentage of receptions caught.

Aborishade is not backing down from his unusual and fun type of campaign to get into the NFL but nonetheless, I say give him the invite into training camp. Who knows what this guy can do!! A hometown guy that played at the lower levels but has the maturity and the dedication to thrive in a Patriots uniform and on the 53 man roster (maybe practice squad).
