Fox Sports Announcing Assignments for MLB, 09/13/08

Fox Sports has three games once again this Saturday. And I believe this marks the debut of Mets radio announcer Howie Rose on the Fox mothership. Howie has called the New York Islanders on FSN New York and MSG Network. Nice to see Howie, an original WFAN nighttime host get a national shot. Former Mets announcer Tom McCarthy works the Milwaukee-Phillies game. The Nasty Boy, Rob Dibble gets to work the Tigers-White Sox with former Best Damn Sports Show Period co-hort Chris Rose and why is Tim McCarver getting the week off?

These announcer pairings look like mid-August, but with Joe Buck refusing to do baseball in September, Thom Brennaman on the Big Ten Network, Dick Stockton and Kenny Albert on NFL assignments and Josh Lewin calling the San Diego Chargers, this is what you get for Saturday. The Roses (no relation) and Tom McCarthy. I wonder who will Fox will turn to next week.
