Foye: So far, so good

Randy Foye continued his workouts over the weekend and Monday at Target
Center, and still reports having "No pain" as he tries to get back onto
the floor for Minnesota.

Head coach Randy Wittman said Foye’s knee has progressed well, though the guard has yet to participate in full-contact drills.

"He did everything else: conditioning, sprints, shooting," Wittman said
after practice. "It feels good and no problems thus far. As we move
along here … We’ll start getting him to where he has to react to
situations that happen on the floor."

With his left knee still feeling no pain, Wolves guard Randy Foye
likely will finally practice fully with his teammates later this week,
although his return to game action still probably is at least two weeks
away.

“So far so good,” Foye said Monday after practice.

So what’s next? There is a chance Foye could start taking part in some
full-contact drills Wednesday or Thursday. If all is going well, he
could accompany the team on its three-game trip, which starts Friday in
Phoenix and ends Monday at Golden State.

Coach Randy Wittman said team officials will meet with doctors as early as Tuesday to determine when Foye might resume five-on-five contact drills.

There remains no timetable for Foye’s return to
games, but it won’t be any time soon. Wittman scoffed when asked
whether Foye might be ready to play next Monday at Golden State.
