3 star linebacker Brailyn Franklin has committed to Penn State and coach James Franklin. Franklin tweeted this at 11 AM this morning to offically commit to the Nittany Lions:
He reportedly committed two weeks prior but did not make it public.
Coach Franklin tweeted his famous tweet, adding a hashtag that is fitting, but I believe to be a joke.
Fellow commit Sean Clifford welcomed Franklin to the family.
Brailyn Franklin is listed at 6’1 and 200 pounds and held 10 offers, that include Maryland, Purdue, Temple and Virginia Tech. He is from Haymarket, Virginia and goes to Battlefield High School. He moved to Virginia last February after living in Texas. He is the 5th recruit to commit to Penn State in the last 13 days, as the staff continues its success that started with the Lasch Bash effect.
Penn State has depth issues at linebacker after only getting one in last year’s class, but have now added three in this class. It wouldn’t surprise me to see Franklin try to add another.
Brailyn Franklin is the 13th commit in the 2017 class as the class now ranks 22nd in the nation according to 247 Sports.
