He’s obviously central to everything
“I was actually kinda thinking about that today,” said Freeney about things returning to the way they were before the injury. “Going out there, trying to get back at it, get the timing back.”
“This is my ninth year, its kinda hard to believe but this is usual, trying to get back at it early.”
Freeney has been a frequent participant in drills during the first four days of the Colts training camp in Anderson, which might have been a surprise to many considering that the ankle bothered him a times during spring and summer workouts.
But now that camp has arrived, Freeney seems to be back to the form which allowed him to collect 13.5 sacks in 2009 on his way to being named to the Pro Bowl. While he’s not at completely full go, still sitting out a session here or there, his progress is enough to give those around him optimism.
