From Fort Wayne…Dwight Freeney is feeling good
“I feel a lot better this year than I did last year,” Freeney said Wednesday before practice for the Indianapolis Colts’ regular-season opener against Jacksonville at 1 p.m. Sunday in Lucas Oil Stadium.
“Last year,” Freeney said, “it was ‘Put a band-aid on it. Find a new band-aid when that one falls off. Piece it together to play 16 games.’ This year, I feel good.”
For a guy who didn’t feel the greatest last season, coming off foot surgery, Freeney put up good-enough numbers. He had 10.5 sacks, his first double-figure total in three years and forced four fumbles.
