Freeney on Rome

93 talks to Jim Rome last week.

On his matchup last week with rookie Eugene Monroe:

“It’s kind of like the rules of the jungle, you got a Vet and you got a rookie. The Vet has to chow the rookie the business. And that’s just what it is. Throw him in the deep end and see if they can survive. Obviously I didn’t think they would leave him one on one, which they did. It’s my job, I get paid for what I do, I got out there and create havoc and cause havoc no matter who is blocking me. I have to have that mentality. I don’t care if it’s one guy or two guys or if it’s a rookie or an eight year vet. I have to go out there and make plays.”
