Friday Links – Iverson an All-Star, Osgood Opens His Mouth, & ESPN’s Awful Alamo Coverage

It’s finally Friday, the last day before the weekend for all you suckas who still have important things to do today. Until then, check out the links and dream about your chances (hint: none) with the beautiful Miranda Kerr. [via Bro Bible & Thunder Treats]

  • The NBA announced the All Star voting results today, and Allen Iverson will start for the Eastern Conference. Steve Nash “passed” Tracy McGrady at the last minute, giving the West a legitimate starting 5. If nothing else, it made Moose Lewis happy. As for the Iverson thing? It’s just reason #5,296 why fans shouldn’t be allowed to account for 100% of the decision. Check out Ball Don’t Lie for more on the starters and snubs.
  • I’m still not sure what to do with this, but it didn’t stop me from messing around with it for about 45 minutes. For those of you who like feeling better about your own life, check out the Jersey Shore soundboard. [via Hot Clicks]
  • Kissing Suzy Kolber has turned me into a Saints fan. “Who dat” has a whole new meaning now. More commentary here.

  • If yesterday’s t-shirt idea wasn’t enough incentive for you to donate to Haiti, maybe this is: Amy Fisher is stripping for a cause. She’ll be bagging up all the Washingtons she plucks out of her g-string and shipping them off to Haiti to benefit earthquake victims. I guess I can’t be too critical because of where the money’s going, but really?
  • I passed over this for a few days now (mostly because it’s a pretty long post), but Ty at Lions in Winter has done some phenomenal work looking at the play of Detroit’s defensive line (specifically the DTs) this year. Long story short: their top pick needs to go to either Ndamukong Suh or Gerald McCoy.
Rob’s Highlight of the Day

I don’t care how many times he’s done it over the course of his career, it still gets me out of my seat each and every time. Jason Maxiell has no need for Sheed or his dunk attempt, denying Wallace from an easy 2 in the Pistons’ 92-86 win. [via Ball Don’t Lie]
