From time to time, readers of the site will reach out.
And from time to time, those reaching out will not be doing so to tell us how awful the site has become and how they’re appalled that the Internet allows such drivel to exist.
Last night I had a very nice email exchange with a reader on a couple of different topics.
Over the course of a couple notes, I learned that he didn’t know that the song that plays at the end of the 7th inning and anytime the Clydesdales are around was, you know, an actual song.
It’s got lyrics and everything!
I just assumed this was common knowledge.
Maybe it is. But something tells me that for the younger Cardinals fans out there, they don’t know about ‘Here Comes The King’.
So consider this a PSA.
There’s even a Wikipedia page dedicated to the song.
The iconic song of the St. Louis Cardinals is really just a beer commercial jingle. Truth be told, I don’t think we’d want it any other way.
