Received a notice from FSN New England regarding an auction to benefit the Alan Greenberg Scholarship Fund. Greenberg was a Patriots beat writer for the Hartford Courant and passed away back in March. A scholarship fund was set up in Greenberg’s name to benefit a student from Lincoln Sudbury Regional School who wants to pursue a career in journalism.
The New England Patriots have donated a training camp experience and it’s being auctioned off. Here’s the press release:

I do recommend you bid on this. Alan Greenberg was a very good writer and always engaged in a give-and-take with Bill Belichick at his weekly press conferences, something the coach enjoyed. Plus, Greenberg was a likable person from the accounts I have read from the various media members who knew him.
