It was a dismal week for Florida State as the Seminoles were swept at home by Clemson. FSU managed just two runs over the first 26 innings of the series before pushing across five in the ninth inning of Saturday’s 9-6 loss.

While no Seminole had a great week, the best week came from junior outfielder D.J. Stewart. Stewart is the Florida State Baseball Player of the Week for the week of May 11th through the 17th for driving in three of the eight FSU runs over the 3-game series with Clemson.

All three RBIs came on a ninth-inning home run on Saturday. Stewart added a double earlier in the game and finished the day 3-for-5.

For the week, Stewart hit .308, going 4-for-13 during the series with Clemson. For the season, Stewart is batting a team-best .326. He also leads the Seminoles with 54 runs, 59 hits, 13 homers, 50 RBIs, 62 walks and an on-base percentage of .514.

Florida State will look to atone for its dismal home performance as FSU opens the ACC Tournament against Clemson at 11:00 A.M. eastern time on Wednesday.
