FSU Basketball Player of the Week: Dwayne Bacon

-11

Through five games this basketball season, Florida State is off to a 4-1 start. Despite returning a number of seniors, it’s been the FSU freshmen who have carried the team offensively early on this season.

Former McDonald’s All-American guard Dwayne Bacon is the Florida State Basketball Player of the Week for the week of November 23rd through the 29th after finishing with 25 points and 7 rebounds in last Monday’s 90-81 victory over Ohio in the Paradise Jam.

Bacon not only scored 25 points, but was efficient in doing so, shooting 9-for-15 from the field and 3-for-4 from beyond the 3-point arc. Bacon’s seven boards was a team-high and he was also one of four Seminoles to record a pair of steals.

In three games at the Paradise Jam, Bacon averaged 17.7 points and 5 rebounds. For the year, Bacon leads the Seminoles, averaging 20.6 points-per-game and 6.4 rebounds. FSU will play two games this week, beginning with Iowa in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge on Wednesday night.
