After a 2-2 week which began with a loss to UCF and concluded with the Seminoles taking two of three from Duke, Florida State dropped in two of the four major polls.
In the National Collegiate Baseball Writers poll, FSU took its biggest dive falling from fourth to sixth. In the USA Today Coaches poll, Florida State fell just one spot from fourth to fifth. The Seminoles did not move up in any of the polls, but stayed put in both the Baseball America poll and the Collegiate Baseball poll. Baseball America has the ‘Noles fourth while Collegiate Baseball ranks them sixth for the second week in a row.
With a 41-14 record, Florida State will have the opportunity to clinch a national seed with a strong showing at the ACC Tournament. Conference tournament action will get underway for FSU on Wednesday night.
