It was another big deficit for Florida State on Saturday night and another big comeback as Florida State erased two 16-point deficits to down rival Miami 30-26 and run the nation’s longest winning streak to 26 games. While quarterback Jameis Winston and the Florida State offense was much better in the second half, the man who fueled the comeback may have been sophomore safety Jalen Ramsey — the Florida State Football Player of the Week for Week 12.

Ramsey had just three tackles in the victory, but one went for a loss and the sophomore was all over the field. Ramsey had four passes defended and even blocked an extra point early on, which proved critical as Miami drove into Florida State territory down by four late in the game.

With Miami facing a 4th-and-9 with under a minute to play, Ramsey’s interception of Hurrcaines’ quarterback Brad Kaaya cemented the victory for Florida State as the Seminoles improved to 10-0 on the year. The interception was the second of the season for Ramsey which ties him with fellow safety Nate Andrews and linebacker Jacob Pugh for the team lead.

In addition to being tied for the team lead in picks, Ramsey ranks among the top three for the Seminoles in total tackles, sacks, tackles for loss and forced fumbles. Ramsey and Florida State look to improve to 11-0 this week as they play host to Boston College in the ACC regular season finale.
