FSU RB Dalvin Cook Suspended Indefinitely

According to a release from the university on Friday, sophomore running back Dalvin Cook has been suspended indefinitely after a warrant was issued for his arrest by State Attorney Willie Meggs.

Cook is charged with misdemeanor battery for punching a woman on June 23rd outside of the bar Clyde & Costello’s on South Adams Street in Tallahassee.

Cook, a Miami product, became the first FSU freshman ever to eclipse the 1,000-yard rushing mark last season. Cook finished with 1,008 yards and 8 touchdowns and was named to the Maxwell Award watch list earlier this month.

The Seminoles dismissed freshman quarterback De’Andre Johnson for a similar but unrelated incident earlier this week. Redshirt junior Mario Pender and true freshman Jacques Patrick are behind Cook on the FSU depth chart.
