As we countdown to the first real game of the season, the city of Charlotte is buzzing with excitement over the possibilities that lay before this team! With new pieces in place that includes fiery guard Lance Stephenson and smart veterans like Marvin Williams and Brian Roberts the Hornets look poised to make a playoff run in this years new look Eastern Conference.
The additions also included draft picks big man Noah Vonleh and scoring machine P.J. Hairston whom will see limited minutes early, but may become important pieces of the rotation as the playoff chase heats up.
These new additions combined with third team all-NBA center Big Al Jefferson, budding superstar point guard Kemba Walker and defensive stopper MKG on the wing. This team will be longer and more athletic than last year on defense, with increased offensive firepower and flexibility.
In a quick poll on Twitter, I found most Hornets fans believe this team will win between 44 and 50 games, securing themselves a five or six seed in the East. The fans are optimistic for this season, and i can’t blame them. This season will be special!
