Gabe Carimi to Badger football 2013

Yes, we missed a day… Day No. 69 in our countdown to Badger football yesterday, but to be honest the No. 69 at the UW hasn't exactly been a number that's produced a ton of greatness. So, today, since we're in throws of no current Badgers with numbers we continue looking into the past.

That means today, we're just 68 days away from kickoff at Camp Randall, or as we like to call it… Gabe Carimi to Badger football!!

Carimi's Story at Wisconsin:

-2010: Outland Trophy award winner, consensus All-American, Big Ten Offensive Lineman of the Year, Academic All Big Ten
– Carimi played in 49 games in his career at Wisconsin, STARTING all 49 of those games. He missed just three games in his entire career
– Did all of this while majoring in Civil Engineering as well

History of No. 68 at Wisconsin:

Mark Tauscher (OL, 1998-1999): Tauscher wore this number for two years during his time at Wisconsin (the two years noted next to his name). He walked on to the team in 1995, earning his first letter in 1998. However he was a key cog at right tackle during Ron Dayne's Heisman Trophy winning 1999 season. Tauscher, a Wisconsin native, was drafted by the Packers and played 10 seasons (all with the Packers) before retiring following the 2010 season.
