The Sacramento Kings defeated the Dallas Mavericks 98-87 at Golden 1 Center behind a solid game from Langston Galloway who finished with 15 points for the night, making him the Reno Dodge Power Performer. This is Galloway’s second consecutive game with double digit scoring.
“Certainly a tough night when you play with eight guys. I thought our guys played with their whole heart as we have asked them to do and they have done most of the season,” Dave Joerger said.
Galloway was extremely consistent tonight and you could tell just by his confidence on the floor.
In this play, you can see just how much confidence he has in his jump shot. First of all, the screen that Papagiannis set is just phenomenal. Galloway’s defender had no chance to go over and help.
Now Galloway had two options he could play with: pass the ball back to Papagiannis and get an easy assist, or pull up for the jump shot. The fact that the shot blocker got up pretty late, gave him that extra second to get the shot off.
Galloway also shot 50 percent from the field, which is interesting, because in the previous game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, he shot 86 percent. Consistency is what the Kings need at the moment and Galloway has been showing that over the past two games.
Up next: The Kings will take on the Lakers at Staples Center as the battle for draft positioning continues.
