What to watch

1. Will Derrick Williams build upon his performance Friday against the Clippers?

Williams had a solid debut against the Clippers two nights ago.  He chipped in 12 points on 46.3 percent shooting and four assists to go along with a bevy of highlight-reel dunks and finishes.  He’ll be matched up against a similarly athletic wing in Barnes, who’s starting in place of the injured Andre Iguodala.

2. The battle at the line

The Kings only attempted 10 free throws to the Clippers’ 37 on Friday night.  They’ll need to have more tries at the charity stripe in order to have a chance against the Warriors today.  For a team that boasts perhaps the best shooting backcourt in the league, Golden State as a whole just shoots 71.4 percent from the free throw line this season.

3. Three-point containment

The Warriors have no qualms about launching from deep.  Golden State is ranked in the top 10 in 3-pointers made, attempted and 3-point percentage this season.  The challenge for the Kings tonight will not only be contesting the Warriors’ shots, but defending Golden State’s shooting attack in transition as well.  The Kings have had issues defending both the perimeter and fast break this season.
