I just wanted to make a note that I’ve been writing WHYGAVS since the spring of 2005 and that the Pirates needed a walkoff hit from Ryan Ludwick last night to crest 70 wins for the first time in the history of the blog. I don’t know if I’m happy that it happened or sad that it took this long or really sad that it’s possible that the last 62 games of this season will make this Pirate team one of the worst to take the field since I started this blog, final record notwithstanding. It did actually happen, though, in pretty dramatic fashion and it was cool to see the players still get excited by an exciting win, even this late in a lost season.
