Just want to acknowledge this one quickly before I get to work on a post about Kevin Hart’s shoulder. Last night was some nice progress for Charlie Morton, if only because he gave up runs in the first inning and didn’t completely fall apart on the spot. He’s obviously getting closer to doing what he needs to do on the mound, even if giving up two homers is pretty uncharacteristic for the type of pitcher he should be when he’s “on.” But a step forward is a step forward, even when it’s in a loss.
