Game 24 Preview: Philadelphia 76ers (7-18) at Brooklyn Nets (8-15)
Brook Lopez sprained his ankle at the end of the Nets' win over the Clippers on Thursday and had to miss their loss on Friday to the Pistons. He was very close to returning for tonight's game, but is still going to sit out after coach Jason Kidd said he didn't look great in warmups.

When: 7:30 PM; Monday, December 16th, 2013

Where: Barclays Center; Brooklyn, NY

TV: YES Network

Daniel Orton is suspended, Michael Carter-Williams is out with an infection, and the Philadelphia 76ers have lost their last six games, 10 of their last 11, and 18 of their last 22 since starting off the season 3-0. On the other hand, the Nets have won three of their last four but are still missing center Brook Lopez, who is nursing an injured ankle, and Andrei Kirilenko (back) and Jason Terry (knee).

Probable Lineups

PHI- Tony Wroten (PG), Evan Turner (SG), Hollis Thompson (SF), Thaddeus Young (PF), Spencer Hawes (C)

BKN- Deron Williams (PG), Joe Johnson (SG), Alan Anderson (SF), Mirza Teletovic (PF), Kevin Garnett (C)

Final Thoughts

Losing this one, especially at home, would be brutal for the Nets, as they attempt to win their ninth game of the season. Brooklyn, led by D-Will and Joe Johnson, needs to get off to a hot start and utilize the fact that Philly is undermanned for tonight's game. It's also notable that Mirza Teletovic is replacing Brook in the lineup and moving to power forward, pushing KG to center.

This gives the Nets a smaller lineup that should be able to get off a lot of high percentage layups and jumpers against a less-than-stellar-defensively 76ers' unit. Philly has given up at least 100 points in 12 of their last 13 games, and allowed a stunning 139 points to the Blazers in a REGULATION loss on Saturday.
