Lightning goalie Anders Lindback stopped 28 of 30 shots and Teddy Purcell scored on a nifty tip in in the third period as the Lightning defeated the Philadelphia Flyers 4-2.

Ondrej Palat and Tom Pyatt scored and Steven Stamkos scored into an empty net for his 200th career goal. Stamkos is the fourth youngest player in NHL history to reach the mark. (Wayne Gretzky, Mario Lemieux and Dale Hawerchuk). (Photo/Susan Ferlita)

Purcell nets the game winner

Tampa Bay has won back-to-back games for the first time since mid-February and have pulled to within five points of the Southeast Division leading Carolina Hurricanes and Winnipeg Jets.

The all Syracuse line of Dana Tyrell, Tyler Johnson and Ondrej Palat controlled the play much of the time they were on the ice and figured in the scoring with Palat scoring and Tyrell and Johnson each getting an assist.

In a game that the Lightning absolutely had to have, the Bolts played with playoff intensity. Unfortunately the win didn’t come without a cost. Forward Ryan Malone and defenseman Victor Hedman both left the game with upper body injuries. Malone is out indefinitely and Hedman is day-to-day.
