In the bottom of the eighth inning, the Pirates trailed the Astros 3-2. Xavier Paul drew a four-pitch walk. On the next pitch, Andrew McCutchen squared around to bunt him over. He was successful and the Pirates predictably failed to score after the best hitter they sent to the plate that inning wasn’t even allowed to swing his bat. Clint Hurdle is now my mortal nemesis.
