The Lightning ended there three game road trip winless, as the Southeast Division leading Winnipeg Jets beat them 3-2.
On a day that saw their coach fired, the Bolts came out in the first period on fire, but it was the Jets behind stellar goaltender Ondrej Pavelec that scored the only goal.
The rest of the game was much the same as the last two Lightning contests as the Bolts trailed by two and couldn’t mount a successful comeback.
Tampa Bay’s Steven Stamkos scored his NHL best 22nd goal on the power play and Cory Conacher notched his ninth goal of the season.
