Three things to ponder
1. Back to boarding
The Kings beat the Clippers on November 2 in part to their dominance on the glass, out-rebounding Lob City 46-35. But Sacramento’s effort boxing out is no guarantee, since they were out-boarded by the Miami Heat, the league’s worst rebounding club on Friday. Ryan Hollins, in place of the NBA’s third-leading rebounder, DeMarcus Cousins (ankle), will face off with the No. 1 board crasher, DeAndre Jordan.
2. Snipers’ revenge
The Clippers shot 9-for-31 from behind the arc in the November loss, and many misses came from wide open attempts. J.J. Redick, who hit only 2-of-10 triples in the match, and his wing men will be out to prove they are worthy of the NBA’s No. 2 ranking in 3-pointers made.
3. The point guard battle, part two
Last time out, Darren Collison held his own against ex-teammate Chris Paul and scored big buckets down the stretch. Collison is now playing the best basketball of his career, and he’ll go up against an ultra-motivated MVP-talent.
