Stamkos scored his 27th goal

Steven Stamkos scored his 27th goal of the season in Tampa Bay’s 4-3 shootout loss to Winnipeg last night.

Stamkos is one goal behind Alex Ovechkin for the NHL lead.

Martin St. Louis and Pierre-Cedric Labrie also scored for the Lightning (17-22-4) in the defeat.

Winnipeg built a 3-1 lead heading into the third period when Labrie scored off of a rebound. Stamkos then beat Jets goalie Ondrej Pavelec stick side to tie the game. Teddy Purcell and Richard Panik were stopped by Pavelec in the shootout to preserve the win for Winnipeg. (Photo/Susan Ferlita)

Pavelec made 24 saves and Bishop stopped 32 shots for Tampa Bay.

The loss was the Bolts fourth straight and sixth in the last seven games.
